The first thing that we would like to point out regarding this Honeywell doorbell UK is just how sophisticated the design of the unit actually is. It has been designed to look and feel very sleek indeed. Cased in grey, silver and blue, it would not look out of place in the home at all.
The initial installation of the doorbell really couldn’t have been simpler. We followed the Honeywell wireless doorbell instructions as closely as possible. Whilst they were a little confusing at first, we soon had an idea of what we needed to do for the installation process and were pleased with how easy it actually was.
Once we had it all installed, set up and had placed it where we wanted it, we were able to fully test out the sound and the wireless range. With 8 melodies to choose from, there is something for everyone’s tastes. What we were really pleased with is that the melodies from the speaker were not distorted in the slightest; something that you may have experienced with cheaper models before.
The wireless range of 200m is very generous indeed and we had no problems at all when testing it out, even at the maximum of 200m which was very impressive. The different controls that can be found on the side of the unit were very easy to use and we had no trouble selecting the different settings.
The only drawbacks that we could really note is that the instruction manual is a little on the confusing side; it took us quite some time to figure out what we needed to do for the installation. The first thing that we should definitely note with this wireless doorbell is its incredible design. In terms of style, this is as sophisticated as they get. Featuring a slim line black design with a blue circular light on the front, this plug in wireless doorbell is incredibly modern and stylish. The only downside of note is that it does feel a little flimsy due to the plastic casing on the push button itself.
The set up and installation of the TeckNet Wireless Doorbell really couldn’t have been any simpler. We used the adhesive strip that is supplied with the model to simply place the unit where we wanted it. The unit stuck well and doesn’t stick out or look out of place in the slightest. The receiver is simply plugged into a standard UK socket. With this model there are two receivers so you can have one on the ground floor and one on the first floor.
The TeckNet Wireless Doorbell instructions were perfectly easy to follow and we had no trouble configuring the device. It really sets itself up, it is that simple. We tested out the five volume levels and were really pleased with how loud you can set it without having any distortion whatsoever. We found that the sound really travels well and the silent feature is perfect for when you don’t want to be disturbed.
One of the things that we really liked about this 2 receiver wireless doorbell is the 52 built in melodies. This offers so much choice for personalisation. When it comes to long range wireless doorbell, this one from Novete is a fantastic wireless doorbell kit. Starting off with the design; we were really impressed. It is slim line and modern, it doesn’t stand out too much and the 2 receivers sit in the plug socket comfortably without sticking out too much. The only possible downside to this one is that it is only available in black, so it might stand out on a white door.
The installation and configuration really couldn’t have been easier. Straight out of the box, all we had to do was stick the push bell on the outside of the door with the adhesive strip provided, and then plug in the two receivers. We placed one downstairs and one upstairs to test out the range and had no problems at all. Configuring the settings only took us a couple of minutes and the doorbell was ready to use.
With 52 melodies to choose from, you can really personalise it to match your personality. There are fun tones as well as the standard doorbell tones so you can choose whichever you like. We were really impressed with the adjustable volume and found that even at the lower levels the noise travelled really well.
The main thing that we liked about this wireless doorbell is just how much of a wireless range it has. At 1300ft, it is perfect for homes with thicker walls. We tried the receivers in various rooms and had no trouble with them at all. For a long range wireless doorbell kit, this is a winner.
